Fly fishing and adventure go hand in hand

Chris grew up with a fishing rod in his hand and has had a passion for the water and saltwater fly fishing. Chris grew up in Plymouth, MA fishing and exploring the waters of Cape Cod during the summers and has dedicated himself to the pursuit of saltwater fly fishing for over 25 years.

However, no matter where he was he looked to the water with a fly rod in hand.

LET US BE YOUR GUIDE TO FLY FISHING

targeted fish

Saltwater fly fishing in the Northeast can be attributed to the love and pursuit of striped bass. Depending on the time of year and forage being pursued, these fish can be caught in salt ponds, estuaries, marshes, flats, points, bays, or rips, which make them awesome species to peruse. By May Cape Cod’s estuaries and bays are bustling with striper activity, and migratory fish begin to arrive in droves.

Education

Captain Chris is a member of the FFI, Fly Fishers International and is currently working through getting his casting instruction certification. He works tirelessly at perfecting the cast, as it helps to catch more fish! You can have the right fly, the right line for the job, and have a great performance rod, but if you cannot get the fly to the fish…. Well no fish. Fly casting is what gets us to the fish, so we have to proficient.

OUR UPCOMING TRIPS

HALF DAY TRIP

Fly fishing from a boat is highly dependent on the tides and these trips focus on a few specific spots over the course of about 5 hours. We aim for early morning starts to make the most out of conditions and opportunities.

FULL DAY TRIP

A full day will give you the best chance at covering a lot of area for stripers as they hunt the sand bottom of the flats or feed in darker waters.

EVENING TRIP

An evening fish can be and electric time as the sun gets low the stripers can surge and feed aggressively. Again this is dependent on tides, but can be a fun time.

Where We Fish

Locations We Cover

The South Side

The South Side of the Cape has so much variety. We can find stripers in the rips, or patrolling one of the numerous flats for crabs and sand eels. Bluefish enjoy the south side and can be found in great numbers on the surface.

The Flats

Stripers cruse shallow water in search of crustacean forage. Knowing the right time, tide and the right sand flat and you'll find bass. And here on beautiful Cape Cod we have miles of flats.

CAPE COD BAY

Cape Cod Bay has so much to offer and if summer time striped bass is what you are looking for the Bay is the place for you. We'll cruise all around the Bay and finding big feeds early in the morning, sometimes at first light! This can be an amazing opportunity for landing some big fish.
